Charles Dickens’ heartwarming family favourite comes to life in a fabulous new stage adaptation.

Bah! Humbug! It’s Christmas Eve and the meanest and most cold-hearted man in London, Ebenezer Scrooge has no time for merriment or mistletoe.

But just as the clock strikes midnight his world turns around when he is taken on a journey through the vivid and enchanting worlds of past, present and future.

Three of Birmingham’s leading art galleries are offering a free Art Bus and will be open late until 9pm on Thursday 3rd December.

Building on the success of sinilar events over the past three years, Ikon Gallery, the Barber Institute of Fine Arts and the RBSA Gallery are once again teaming up to run Galleries Night and the free Art Bus service, helping people to travel between the galleries in comfort and without the worries of parking or using public transport.

Each venue is staying open until 9pm and so it’s a unique opportunity for people to enjoy the exhibitions and collections after finishing work. Hourly guided tours will take place at all three galleries, and a free glass of wine or soft drink awaits all visitors.

The Art Bus will leave the Barber Institute on the hour every hour from 5pm, stopping in Broad Street (bus stop nearest Oozells Square) for Ikon. It will leave Broad Street at 25 minutes past the hour and stop at Brook Street for the RBSA, departing from there at 5.40pm, 6.40pm, 7.40pm and 8.40pm. The last bus will leave the Barber at 9pm and travel back to Broad Street for 9.20pm.
