  • Murray Walker book signing

    Murray Walker will be receiving his Walk of Star on Broad Street, Birmingham on Saturday 28th June.

    As part of the day’s event Murray will be appearing at the Sports Cafe on Broad Street at 11am where he will be holding an hour long book signing. Murray’s latest book - The Murray Walker Scrapbook and copies, for those that would like one, will be available on the day from the Sports Cafe.

    The presentation of Murray’s star will take place later that day.

  • Murray Walker Walk of Stars Presentation

    Murray Walker will be inducted onto the Broad Street Walk of Stars at 2.30pm on Saturday June 28th. The presentation will take place outside the House of Sport on Broad Street. The Lord Mayor will be presenting Murray with his star.

  • Brindleyplace Dragonboat Festival

    The Dragonboat Festival is one of our biggest and most memorable events of the year, there is something for everyone. Approximately 20 teams will battle it out to win the trophy and there will be prizes for the whole team for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.  Teams already confirmed are Curry and Partners, Vanguard Contracts Ltd, Nandos, Argent, Barnardos, GVA Grimley to name but a few. The water race comprises a series of heats, which run from Pitcher and Piano up to the winning post at the NIA. Additional entertainment on the day will include: BRMB roadshow, live music, Chinese Lion Dancer, street entertainment, sumo wrestling suits, bouncy castle, oriental art and craft activities, Chinese food provided by Tin Tin and much more! There will also be a fantastic raffle on the day all in aid of Barnardo’s including delicious meals and family days out. “Brindleyplace has decided to work with Barnardo’s because we have always had a close relationship and we are very keen supporters in all they do.  I would like to say a huge thank you to Mitchells and Butlers who are sponsoring the event this year; this means we can raise a lot more for the charity with a target of £20,000 for 2008.” Kate Gregson, Marketing and PR Manager, Brindleyplace Estate Management.There are still places available if you would like to take part in the Dragonboat race. You need a minimum of 12 rowers and 1 drummer.  Initial £250 deposit and a commitment to raise a further £1000 for Barnardo’s.
