    Premiered at the Bush Theatre in 1993 “Beautiful Thing” was released as a feature film by Channel Four Films in 1996 directed by Hettie MacDonald and featuring Meera Syal. “Beautiful Thing” explores pre-teenage homo-erotic sensuality and the frictions and intimacies of living cheek-by-jowl on a Thamesmead housing estate.

  • Elvis on Tour featuring Lee “Memphis” King at the NIA

    The show pays tribute to the entire performing career of Elvis including the early days of ‘pure hip-swivelling‘ rock ‘n’ roll years, the movie years and the Las Vegas years.

    In 2004 ‘Memphis King played several UK Theatres including the London Palladium to critical acclaim and is the UK’s most successful Elvis impersonator, finalist in BBC’s “The Worlds Greatest Elvis” and appeared on a special episode of “The Weakest Link”.

    ‘Memphis ‘King pays meticulous attention to the way Elvis sings from the way he breathes to adopting the attitude that he expresses when performing a song. He says “To me Elvis was the greatest performer and vocalist of the last century and I constantly strive for perfection when I perform his songs.”

    Accompanied by his top level orchestra and singers and wearing costumes which are accurate in every detail, ‘Lee ‘Memphis’ King’ recreates it all with stunning authenticity - the voice, the look and the moves.
