Former Walsall FC Manager, Ray Graydon received a warm welcome at Bank’s Stadium during Saturday’s clash with Exeter City.

Ray was present at the game to receive his Broad Street Walk of Star accolade after being voted on to the city’s Golden Mile by over 800 fans and supporters.

Deputy Mayor of Walsall, Councillor Gary Clarke made the star presentation, alongside BBC WM’s Chris Blakemore. The stadium rose to its feet as Ray accepted his star.

“You’ve made an old man very happy” Graydon said during the presentation. “Not only was I humbled when I was told that the supporters had voted me for this honour, but the welcome they gave me is something I’ll never forget”.

Mike Olley, Broad Street Manager, said “We are delighted to add another such deserving football hero to our Walk of Stars on Broad Street alongside such stars as Ozzy Osbourne and Frank Skinner”.
