The team at the Broad Street Business Improvement District would like to say a massive thank you to all the Birmingham Mail readers who responded to Tuesday’s article regarding where to place the Archers and Norman Paintings stars following next Friday’s ceremony.

The response that we’ve had has been truly fantastic. Much more than we’d ever expected. Its been a pleasure to speak to all those that managed to get through to me. Our apologies go to those people that tried to get through and were unsuccessful.

Responses came in from all the Birmingham area, the UK, and one email was even received from Toronto University in Canada! We also had the pleasure, along with Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Randle Brew, of meeting a group of ex-BBC employees who still meet up once a month to get together and catch up.

The stars now have their home - and you’ll soon be able to see them both in the street. The presentation of the two stars takes place Friday 12th September at 6.30pm on the ArtsFest stage in Centenary Square, Broad Street.
